The United Arab Emirates 50 Dirhams Banknote was released by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates in 2021 to commemorate the 50th year of the Foundation of the United Arab Emirates. The banknote’s obverse features the memorial to the martyrs of the Emirates and the seven founding fathers carrying the flag after signing the union document. It also displays a portrait of Sheikh Zayed. The reverse of the note depicts His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan signing the union document with the Etihad Museum in the background. The banknote is the first to be printed on polymer. It is 151 x 64 mm in size and is in uncirculated condition.
