This Iraq 5 Dinar banknote was released in 1973 by the Central Bank of Iraq. The note measures 166 x 85 mm and depicts the National Parliament building in Baghdad with flag and palm trees on the front design. The reverse side features Babylonian king, Hammurabi, receiving laws from Shamash the Sun God, as depicted on the carving from the upper part of the diorite stele famously known as the Code of Hammurabi. The security features of the note include a solid security thread and a Falcon head watermark.
