This one rupee banknote from Pakistan was first issued in 1951 and features a portrait of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The note was printed by Thomas De La Rue in the UK, and has some interesting design elements. For example, the obverse depicts a watermark of Jinnah's portrait, as well as a pattern representing the borders of Pakistan and India. The reverse features an illustration of the Lahore Fort and Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Pakistan. This banknote is an exciting piece of history that any collector would be proud to add to their collection.
